The Never Ending Quest - Episode 104789

The Kroa Bar was pleasant enough, and Josh was pleased to find that the staff knew English. As he didn't have any local currency, Leslie Astra had to pay for all the drinks. When Josh offered to reimburse her in dollars, she asked how much money he had on him. When he said that he only had the couple of bills he had found in his pocket and didn't have a credit card on him, Leslie refused to accept his money. "You're going to all your cash," she said.

For some reason Leslie didn't ask Josh how he came to be thousands of miles from home with almost no cash. Perhaps she didn't want to pry if he didn't want to volunteer the information. Nor did she repeat her earlier question about the IGO. So they talked rather inconsequently about old times for a while, often at cross-purposes but enjoyably enough.

  1. The Kroa Bar serves food. Leslie asks Josh if he would like a meal. "I'd be happy to treat you, and you need to put away plenty of calories in this climate."
  2. Eventually the conversation turns to how Josh comes to be in Longyearbyen.
  3. Eventually the conversation turns back to the mysterious threatening note.
  4. Eventually it's time to leave. Leslie invites Josh back to her place.
  5. Eventually it's time to leave. Josh invites Leslie back to his place.
  6. Josh asks Leslie if she would lend him the substantial sum of money he'd need to get back home.
