A Timely Reappearance

All three Masters turned abruptly at this intrusion, glared at him for a brief moment, and then all began to speak at once: "So, there you are--" "Welcome, Doct--" "You! What are you--" They all broke off suddenly and turned their glares on each other instead. The Bettys surpressed a chuckle, and Stacy let out a sigh of relief, thinking that now that the Doctor was here, he would surely sort this mess out. Melissa merely sat there in her high chair and calmly ate her soup (which no one else had touched).

Eventually, someone had to break the silence, so Betty-2 did. "Where did you get to, anyway?" she asked the Doctor.

1. "I've been having a look round this castle. And I must say, I've found some very interesting things."
2. "Well, I'm afraid that requires a bit of explanation..."
3. "I was talking to some rather interesting people. Perhaps you'd like to meet them?" And, as he moved away from the door slightly, they could see that there was someone standing behind him.
4. But one of the Masters interrupted before he could answer.
