She goes to pack her bags, and disguises herself with a heavy cloak so as not to be recognized when she passes through the village—really just to be on the safe side, because it's not like she's left the castle since she became queen, anyway. She resolutely refuses to see her husband or children, and leaves as soon as she finishes packing. She travels for a few days. Movement is slow with her large pregnant belly, but she covers a fair distance and is walking down the street of the second large village in which she's staying when she suddenly doubles over in pain. Her labor is long and difficult, and she falls into a deep sleep when it's done. She wakes up in a healer's hut to see that she has had twins: a boy and a girl. As she rests over the next few days...
