In Which Zenobia Acts (almost) Like a Real Mother

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 103836

Zenobia finds herself growing truly attached to the girl, which annoys her. Of course, not attached enough to give her her life back, but enough to decide against putting her under for ten years.

Instead, she begins teaching the girl. She can't make a human into a witch, but she can teach her about the world and show her recipes for some potions.

Diana eventually notices that she's getting more childlike by the day. Her grammar often slips, she has a slight lisp, she gets terrified of noises in the night, she has to have her food cut into small bites... The list grows and grows with every passing day. And naps are very common, though Diana is not sure five-year-olds are supposed to be this tired all the time... Whichever way, her mind is definitely becoming simpler, and she's starting to get used to the feeling of being five.

  1. This bothers her a bit; it feels like she's losing something, even though she does believe this was not something she was supposed to have anyway.
  2. She decides to see it as a good thing; she's reverting back to the way she's supposed to be.
