The woman takes her to a very small room with two chairs and a desk. The woman puts the chairs next to each other and sits Diana in one and herself in the other. "I'm Miss Claudia," she says kindly. "What's your name, dear?" "D-Diana," Diana responds timidly. "It's nice to meet you, Diana. How old are you?" Uh-oh. Diana tries to think of how to respond, and finally settles on, "How old do you think I am?" Miss Claudia is obviously surprised at the question. "Well, we were thinking four or five..." "Five!" Diana cries. "I'm five." The woman nods. "You're in the town's inn. We take in children who don't have a place to go. We found you sleeping in the middle of the street, sweetie. Do you know why?"
