A magical bolt from below

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 103605

A magical spell from a frustrated sorcerer had sent Fred spinning back into the caverns. He was now hanging upside down, the soles of his shoes partially fused with the ceiling of the caverns. It was light here, showing a lumpy, rocky area with smooth scree to the left. And jammed hilt-deep into the pebbles was a sword. The legendary Fire-Manipulation sword if he read the hilt-work correctly. Either way, a sword.
To make matters more insane, pebbles danced up and down. Something big and nasty was thumping it's way closer. And closer.
Fred strained for the sword. It was just out of reach...

  1. Fred managed to grab the sword.
  2. Fred untied his shoes and flipped down. Better to fight barefooted then die upside down.
  3. The sword flew out of the scree and into his hand.
  4. Diana appeared.
  5. A giant otter appeared and licked Fred's face. At least he wasn't eating it.
