Tricked!

"But I can see from here that it's a dead end."

"The apparent wall at the end is an illusion, You can walk right through it."

So Astra carried on. She was just a few yards from the end of the tunnel, when she heard a grating metallic sound behind her. Turning round, she saw that a set of bars was descending from the roof of the tunnel. Before she had a chance to escape, there was a "clunk" as they reached the floor.

Zed was on the other side of the bars. "You tricked me!" Astra said. "And after I brought your cat back too! I trusted you."

"I'm sorry, but I dared not defy the dragon. And when he found that you had escaped he set a reward of a hundred gold pieces for anyone who could recapture you."

"So it was a combination of fear and avarice that motivated you. I suppose that I should be flattered that the reward was so high."

Zed left to give the news to the dragon.

1. Soon the dragon arrived. "So you thought you could escape me, did you?" he said. "I have plans for you, Princess."
2. Before the dragon could arrive, by an amazing stroke of luck Fred and Velus found Astra. But could they manage to free her?
3. Somehow Astra managed to escape.
