The Never Ending Quest - Episode 10252

Stacy wondered why the woman hadn't noticed the strong resemblance between herself and Mistake, but she was grateful for it. The woman was quite annoying enough as it was. Stacy made her excuses to her and left the shop, and set out to walk to DC Comics. As she did so she reflected on the author's name being Stephen Allar whilst his main male character was called Baron Fredrick von Allar. That could hardly be a coincidence. But why did she feel that the character had a real existence under the name Lord Frederigo D'Honaire of Allaria?

Stacy felt that the only way she could hope to resolve any of this was to talk to Stephen Allar, so when she arrived at DC Comics she told the receptionist that she wanted to send him a fan letter and was there any way she could get his address? She felt that there was a better chance of getting his address that way than if she said that she wanted to meet him. The receptionist replied:

  1. "I'm sorry. We don't give out authors' addresses. But if you leave your fan letter with us, we'll see that he gets it."
  2. "But you're the model for Mistake, aren't you? I recognise you. Why would you pretend you're just a fan?"
  3. "You're in luck. You can hand him your letter personally, as he's in the building right now."
  4. "No need to play games. We've been expecting you, Ms Jones." Stacy looked at the woman blankly.
