Since Belboz paid the men off in full - it wasn't wise for even a wizard to renege on a deal with the Neutral Mercenaries Guild - they were happy enough. They went on their way, in all probability to take part in adventures of dubious morality.

Meanhile, Frederica and Belboz set off on their journey of several days...

  1. On foot. Belboz has never learnt to ride.
  2. On horseback. Frederica has to ride side-saddle, but luckily she's a skilled horsewoman.
