Man vs. the Empire Brain Building

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 102046

Before anything else can be said, there is a loud thud from the direction of the door leading outside, enough to knock the door off its hinges, and whatever it was shook the entire storage unit. Then, the unmistakable sound of Frank Burns' voice is heard...is he screaming in pain?

"What was that?" Josh asks.
"FRANK?!" Hawkeye asks as he turns in the direction of the door. "What the hell are you doing, spying on us?"

The only response is Frank screaming in pain. Whatever happened, it's incredibly painful; enough that Major Burns can't even string together a coherent sentence.

"Gentlemen, do you think Frank finally got shot by the enemy?" B.J. asks.
"We can only hope," replies Hawkeye. "But we're doctors, so we still have to patch him back together. Come on, let's go have a talk with Frank."

Josh joins the doctors as they make their way towards the exit. Frank Burns is crumpled on the ground next to the doorway. His left leg is hanging up in the air, and his foot is hanging down at an angle that nature never intended it to. The sight of the injury is horrific enough that Josh nearly gets sick on the spot.

"Josh, man, don't do this!" Hawkeye pleads. "You were elbows deep in some unfortunate kid's guts hours ago and you didn't even bat an eye!"
"Hold that thought, Hawk, we've still got Frank to worry about," B.J. says. "Frank? What happened?"

  1. Frank is too hurt to answer.
  2. Josh sucks it up and proposes getting Frank to the ER immediately.
  3. Frank gets it together long enough to tell the docs about how he had intended to get even with Josh, but somehow managed to destroy his ankle kicking the door down.
  4. Suddenly, blood is seen pooling out from underneath Frank. Wow, he really did get shot!
