Odd Thomas was a healthy man, in his late twenties. He was known for his skill in the kitchen, courage that could outshine the sun, whipsmart mind, a tendency to find what he needed and the ability to communicate with ghosts only he could see.
And as far as Josh knew, Odd was entirely fictional.
But considering Josh had seen the primal darkness he was not complaining.
Feet on the ground meant the world was a little more sane. Well, more sanely lit. No primal darkness visible anywhere.
What about the bandits?

  1. Had run off for an unknown reason.
  2. Had seen better captives up the road.
  3. Odd and Roland had locked them in their ambush spot.
  4. Roland had found a sword on a long dead body. The bandits had found silent death.
  5. Jake and Oy had led them on a merry chase into the sewers and locked them in.
