The gates burst into flame

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 10087

One moment the gates were fine and the next they were consumed in flames.
"Wizard!" cried the gaurds. Indeed, floating over a nearby hillock was a red-robed magician, chanting and waving his arms. Fred saw with astonishment it was a cougar-morph. More gaurds appeared.
Then red rays blasted out of the man's hand. Everyone dodged. A smoking hole was blown in the ground. All but one of the gaurds were knocked for a loop. Fred was reassured as he 'smelled' that the men were alive, but unconscious.
Fred, Alicia and the gaurd zigzagged across the open plain, heading for the magic-user. He threw another bolt, which missed Alicia by inches and splashed harmlessly against another hill.
The gaurd leaped up and with a battle cry, brought his sword down. The wizard swept one arm and the morph was sent hard to the ground. He grunted, rolled and sprung up.

  1. Fred tackles the wizard.
  2. Alicia connects with a flying kick.
  3. The gaurdsman swings his sword, seperating the attacker's head from his body.
  4. Fred is destroyed in a blinding attack but Alicia and the gaurd kill the magic-user.
