The Old Tree-House

Beta Test Story - Episode 525

Lacking anything better to do and curious about what Marissa wants, you lock up your office and head on over to the Old Tree-House which, despite the name is neither in a tree, up a tree, surrounded by trees or even made of wood. It's an underground structure built entirely of aluminimum (or whatever they call it these days) surrounded by mulberry bushes in the middle of a hedge maze. It's tricky to find, and you haven't been there since the last time you saw Marissa. Twelve years ago. She was going to tell you why it was called the Old Tree-House when she got unexpectedly kidnapped by ninjas. Or maybe it was the Spanish Inquisition, nobody expects them either.

  1. You get lost in the maze.
  2. You get found in the maze.
  3. You get eaten by a grue.
  4. You stub your toe.
  5. The wumpus has sucker feet.
  6. After doubling back 42 times you finally reach the center of the maze.
  7. Finally giving up on the maze, you steal a combine harvester and mow down the whole darn thing.
  8. You can't even find the maze. Has it really been that long?
