the Dipsy paradox

"Lieutenant Worf," Picards voice booms across the bridge of the starship Enterprise, "Put it on main viewer." He looks into the viewscreen across the front of the ship, where a strange green mangled creature appears to be floating in space. "What is it?"

"It appears to be a tellytubby, circa 2003, wrapped into a mobius strip and floating through space. Because the tellytubby rolled himself into infinity, he never died." Data's voice pipes up. Then he cocks his head as if processing. "I believe his name is Dipsy."

1. Picard orders Worf to beam Dipsy to Cargo Bay 4
2. Troi gets a telepathic flash of Dipsy's agony
3. Ensign Ro trips on a carpet tac, accidentally pushing Worf's elbow onto the fire button and blasting Dipsy out of infinity
