" Mom!" Faking a smile, your mom say in a nervous tone, " This? Uhmm it's nothing! Really!" Your mom is not acting as usual. It seems that something sneaky is on her mind. "Could it just be one of her usual jokes?" While your mind is occupied, your mom smiles and say, "Good night!" then closes the door quickly. You hear footsteps moving away and the sound become more feint until it dies out. You sat there once more, wondering about your current condition. " These bruises...how did it get here?" Suddenly, the entire world turns pitch black. As your body loses all its energy and you fell back onto the bed, you can hear whispering outside the door. " Let's--" were the last words you hear as you lose conciousness. You awake into the same scene once more, except this time you see a dark figure appear in front of you. You squint to make out the figure. Meanwhile the dark figure comes closer, and closer. Your body is uncooperative and unmovable as your wits dissapear. With every footstep it took, your heart skips a beat as if this figure might be the entity of death itself. The figure now sits beside your bed and stares at you. As the figure leans to study your face, you finally make out the picture with your blurry eyes.
