SUMMARY: Team Players/style Eligibility expired ---------------------------------------------- Stein's Team (Anton/+2) Winner of round 99 Anton's Team (Tich/+1) Sun 20th 20:43 Oerjan's Team (Andre/+1) Fri 18th 11:48 TITANIC (Jeremy/-1) Wed 16th 09:35 Andre's Team (the rest/0) Wed 16th 09:35 R.O. OVERRULES FOR ROUND 99: >>>> RO overrule 11 a) All players must belong to some team b) To facilitate team play, substitute the following in the Regular Ordinances: RO4: author -> author's team the same person -> any person from the same team RO5: person -> team player -> team becomes Judge -> one of its members becomes Judge RO7: player -> team Wizard -> Wizards RO8: members -> teams c) The Fantasy Rules may dictate how teams are formed and organized, including how a team casts its vote as per RO8, and which team member will become the Judge if the team wins. >>>> Passed! >>>> RO overrule 12 To ensure the existence of a Judge for round 100, append the following to the (modified) RO5: If the sole remaining team has no members, then the last member of any team to submit a valid rule becomes Judge. >>>> Passed! FANTASY RULES: 99:1 / Andre / Sep 8th 11:48 / Valid / +1 SP >>> Each team is named after one FRC-member. No FRC-member may be in a team named after himself. All players that do not post a rule (independent of whether it is accepted or not) within the first 10 days from the beginning of the round, belong to Andre's team. No other players are in this team. No player belongs to more than one team. I belong to Oerjan's team. >>> Validity: No problem. (Jesse seems to have overlooked a "not" in his analysis) Style: Very good. Yet first rules are easy to make so +1 seems right. 99:2 / Jeremy / Sep 8th 16:34 / Invalid / -1SP >>>>> The Wizard-Judge Stein Kulseth Team's first rule submission: Any rule may sanction a vote of the team membership (a "team vote") if and only if that rule contains a correct listing of the team's membership rolls. An incorrect listing of the rolls does not necessarily invalidate the rule, but voids the results of the subsequent voting. Team votes must be submitted within 24 hours of the submission of the call for a vote in order to be counted. While a team vote is in progress any rules submitted in the name of that team are invalid. Players may only be involuntarily removed from a team by a vote of that team's membership. Players may only join teams by 1) authoring a rule (valid or invalid) for that team or 2) being "nominated" in a valid rule authored by another member of that team. Except for the first team a player joins, players may not post rules on the behalf of teams of which they are not members. Submitted by Jeremy >>>>> Validity: Confusing on a lot of points some of which have already been mentioned. One reason for invalidity that seems clear cut is Players may only join teams by ... 2) being "nominated" in a valid rule authored by another member of that team. 99:1 authored by a member of Oerjan's team has already nominated a lot of members for Andre's team Style: Would have been lower but for the fact that it tries to define the concept of "team vote", which would have been a plus. 99:3 / Tich / Sep 12th 20:43 / Valid / + 1SP >>>> Any member, other than Tich, who posts an invalid rule is transferred to the TITANIC (Tich's Inestimable Team for Authors of Nugatory or Invalid Conditions). The transfer occurs immediately after the rule is judged, and the change of team cannot alter the validity of the rule in question. >>>> Validity: No problem Style: Interesting rule, however I think the value of the rule will depend on how later rules react to it. Good name for team 99:4 / Anton / Sep 14th 20:45 / Valid / +2 SP >>>> There are only five teams to which players can belong. Andre's team, being naturally indolent, always abstains in any vote. Until the other teams announce their voting policy, they are deemed to delegate the casting of their vote to their namesakes. Anton's team (unlike their eponymous hero) are reknowned for their modesty, and its members never openly declare their alliegence. Unlike Tich, I am a member of Stein's team. We are both fortunate, as Jeremy has never been a member of our teams. However, Andre is less lucky, as Jeremy started the round as a member of Oerjan's team. To ensure his neutrality, the Judge is of course not a member of any team. >>>> Validity: OK Style: Very rich, I like it very much. ------------------ Signing off, The Wizard Judge
