Yet again a round where the Judge disappeared. I guess appendicitis is a valid excuse. The Round was somewhat prolonged by the Judge's announcement to the list bouncing. This Round we changed from the old mailing list at frc@nvg.ntnu.no to frc@troll.no, and Arnt Gulbrandsen became the new list manager. I (Ørjan) still handle the archive. The Theme of Round 75 was "Exquisite Corpse". The Judge was Harlequin, the Wizard was William M. Maciejewski. Times, except where noted, are GMT -0500, Eastern, the Judge's zone. (And conveniently also that of most other active players lately.) Validity: First rule, you know the deal. VALID. Style: +0.5 for complying with the game of EC as well as possible in FRC terms, and another +0.5 for grabbing onto the other meaning of "Exquisite Corpse." Rule: 75:2 Poster: William M. Otherwise fine, I guess. Rule: 75:3 Poster: Ed Murphy Style: +0.0 Validity: INVALID >...all valid rules shall provide previously unrevealed information about >him. Mister McGreavy is survived by his widow and two children, ... Validity: Fits 75:1, obviously, and I believe the final sentence would be considered "eulogizing" Mr McGreavy. Only two sentences, fitting 75:2. VALID. Style: Geez, judging style for two sentence long rules is difficult. :-O I'm ambivalent about the restriction; it'll certainly generate interesting play, but I think it'll most likely be too limiting with the short length of the rules. All in all I give it a +0.0. ---- later ---- At 08:13 PM 3/22/97 +0100, Orjan Johansen wrote: >I just noticed that the first partial sentence of 75:3 spans two lines, in >violation of 75:1. True.
