Round summary follows: _______________ 63:1 Judged VALID; +1.5 Style Point awarded Submitted by Jeremy at Fri, 16 Aug 1996 15:03:08 My name is Enigma. It has been for as long as I can remember... Of course, I cannot remember anything that occurred prior to the beginning of this round at the moment, not even my true name. This round is my personal Journal, written to provide clues to myself about my past. Only I may write in it. I am naturally paranoid. Therefore, I have rigger my Journal to self- destruct should anyone else touch it, rendering further rules in this round impossible. _________ 63:2 Judged VALID; +.75 Style Point awarded Submitted by Andrew E. R. Usher at Fri, 16 Aug 1996 16:50:15 _________ 2.i.01 Dear Diary, I very nearly lost you today. Fortunately, it appears I have always feared your discovery, and the "friend" who found my last diary was wearing gloves this time. To be on the safe side, I have found a box to keep you in, which is designed so that it will only open once every day, and I will keep the key on a chain around my neck. Incidentally, my "friend" says that the only thing she saw before my last diary crumbled in her hands were the words "Yriad Samgine". Seeing as she only laughed when I asked her why people call me Enigma I have sworn never to speak to her again. Fare well until tomorrow. But I think at least some of the people around me know, and just don't want to tell me. For example, in the diner this afternoon I overheard one person comment that I 'ran through more identities then anybody he'd ever met'. The person he was talking to went on to say she'd even seen even seen me occupying multiple bodies at the same time. Personally, I think they were just trying to get my goat. But from now on, I'm not going to write down any more of these malicious comments. Nope. I will only write solid evidence. For example, this morning in my attic, I found a bunch of old pictures. I'm not sure who took them, but someone went to the trouble of identifing each picture in a little notebook. Only problem is that the pictures don't seem to match the order of the notebook. Still, I might be able to find something there. Well thats all for tonight... Oh, I almost forgot. I did hear something that seems worthy of note. The waitress in the diner called me one of the communities oldest and most respectable members. I wonder what she meant by that. Ah well. That really is all for tonight. And so to bed. >>>>> _______________ 63:4 is Judged INVALID 1 Style Point Submitted by Andrew E R Usher at Fri, 23 Aug 1996 14:06:10 _______________ >>>>> 4.1.01 Dear Diary, Well, things are improving. Sort of. I figured out the photo order, eventually. Someone had started the notebook from the _back_ page, and then worked from top to bottom and right to left. Mad. The only person I know that does that sort of thing is an Australian mate of mine, Paul I think his name is - or is it John? - strange chap - he managed to fall off Ayres Rock at one stage; although I really should call it Uluru, the Aboriginal name, now. It's that great big rock in the centre of Australia, anyway. How he survived I'll never know, and I don't think he's going to tell. Where was I? Oh yes, the photos. Not much to them, annoyingly. I took most of them - all of various castles for some reason, with "Summer, 73" or something like that. There were enough parks I recognised to work out the order the notes were in - eventually. Two guys called Charles and Edward seemed to be fairly common, too. Speaking of Charles, I got a letter from someone of that name today. Funny address: The Occupier B.P. With an "OHMS" in the corner. I don't know what to make of it. Good grief this entry is long! This journal's getting longer than it looked like it would. The entries are going to have to start getting shorter from now on, if I'm going to find anything out before the end of the book. Bedtime. Good night. E. <<<<<< ___________________ This looked like it was going to be a very interesting Round. Silly me. Good luck Luke, Ed Graham
