The gray persian cat was unseen as it slipped its way inside Caemlyn. It purred at the guards at the castle gates, who assumed it belonged to someone in the castle and let it in. It purred at the entrance to the royal suite and was picked up and cuddled by a friendly maid. She got distracted and left the adorable cat with the deep blue eyes in the hall by the king's bedroom... which was exactly where Adronius wanted to go. Meowing at the heavy stone door, he then passed through it as if it were smoke. He then transformed to his normal self, a five foot nine thin as a reed man with black hair and a well trimmed beard. Chuckling to himself, he pulled out a kubara-nin* and inscribed runes of silence, deterrence, and sealing on the door. Adronius pulled out a wooden wand and waved it, causing the bed to softly raise up and glide back a few feet before settling slowly back to the ground.** Walking to the wall behind the bed, Adronius used the kubara-nin to sketch a rune of opening, and then stood back.
*- Kubara-nin are magical sticks that are used to 'scribe' runes. Rune magic is powerful (although hard to master) and a totally different type of magic. It is not detectable through normal means and so Vjorica hoped that Reaibn would not notice it. Kubara-nin come in a variety of types. Adronius was using a 'low power' model that has a few uses only. More powerful permanent types could be more easily sensed by someone of Reaibn's power. **- Wand magic is out of favor throughout Allaria and Aqualaria, whose wizards and sorceresses see it as a crutch. Vjorica, however, still embraces all forms of magic and wand magic is some of the best magic to get things done with a minimum of fuss OR to enhance your power/use someone else's spells easily (depending on the type and power level of wand).
