Astra picked up the second piece of chalk again. This time, there was no sensation at all beyond that of holding an ordinary piece of chalk. "Ha!" she exclaimed... but then was confused. "What is the point of this?" she asked out loud... Astra now theorized that picking up the chalk pieces would each give a different sensation the first time, but not afterwards. What was the reason? To keep track, she wrote down the word "hot" and put the first piece of chalk by it, and then did the same with "cold" for the second piece. "It's a thrice-damned puzzle is what it is," she muttered. Before going for the next piece of chalk, she decided to check out the unmarked box. [96932] The box was wholly unremarkable, other than it had a weightiness to it indicating it probably contained something and the annoying fact that it had no discernible opening. "Oh come on!" said Astra.
