Not that simple

It was impossible for Reaibn to know that the Eye of Hayzus had its limitations. For someone IN Allaria, it was indeed possible to extend its power (slowly) outward and THEN take it into said places where it could again be extended, etc. However, taking it into a location where its sphere of influence had not been extended would have.. unexpected results. Reaibn was about to learn this firsthand.

When Reaibn took his first step across the border into Aqualaria, he felt like someone had pulled his power plug. All of a sudden, his magic was gone! To Fred, this subtle aura of power that always had surrounded Reaibn since these events began just cut out. Then, Reaibn felt like he was being ripped in half, and with a scream vanished from sight.

Fred stared at the place where Reaibn had been. Unbelievably, with trepidation, he crept up to the border. Yes, there absolutely was the Eye, lying there on the grass. Fred picked up a stick and knocked it back across the border of Allaria, and then reached down to pick it up.

1. Before Fred can grab it, a snarling Reaibn re-appears, the Eye in his hand. "You would take what is mine?!"
2. Fred grabs the eye, and gasps as Power floods through him.
3. Meanwhile, Reaibn finds himself lying on a stone slab before a crude obsidian altar deep underground.
4. Meainwhile, Astra and Belinda chat in their dungeon cell, as before naked and chained to the wall.
5. We join the teenagers, who have run foul of someone responsible for their trail's 'disappearance'.
6. Emry sells his booze (no use wasting good liquor) back at a loss to the local bar, and gets cleaned up.
7. Meanwhile, Ruag finalizes his preparations for his part of the plan.
