The Never Ending Quest - Episode 96654

Fred decided to learn Hespan Trade Speak purely by wishing very hard. He had read in a book once (well, someone read it to him from a book) that wishes were magic, but you really had to commit to the wishing process. For this reason, Fred always carried around his "Wishing Gear".

Whistling a jaunty tune, Fred unpacked his portable folding camping chair, a cooler full of tasty beverages, a rain stick, some jerky, and a fluffy blanket...

Several months later...

"No report from Lord Fred?" asked King Emry, irritatedly. "It has been three months!"

"No one has heard, sire," said a miscellaneous person we won't bother to reveal the identity of. "Everyone is too scared of the dragon to investigate."

Indeed... where is Fred?

  1. Fred is still eating jerky, shaking a rain stick, sipping a beverage, and wishing really hard.
  2. Fred has infiltrated Hespan, using the Hespan Trade Speak, in search of a powerful artifact with which to defeat the dragon. Wow, the wishing worked!
  3. Fred is dead. But how?
