A Special Tree and the Dancing Nymph....
The Never Ending Quest - Episode 9551

The dancing went on for hours on end, and Fred finds that he doesn't
tire....in fact the more he dances the more....energizing it becomes for
him.
However, this is something of a runners high. Not a euphmism for the acts
and desires that her drunken audience keep shouting and groping her for.
Fred realizes that he can't stop....and even raise his voice in protest.
All he can do is dance......
Then a strangely dressed man walks into the room, drawing shouted oaths
and drunken bellows of rage from Fred's audience. All of which goes silent
as the man looks at them in the eyes.....and Fred shivers inside as he
sees them go slack jawed and start to laugh.....and drool on themselves.
Fred shivers again but continues to dance as the oddly dressed man (who's
dressed in blue jeans and jeans jacket with a dozen buttons....including a
button with a picture of a dead pig and a question about: "How do you want
your pork?"). "Well, move over Madonna!" the Walking Man leers, laughing
as Fred struts his (er....her) stuff. "Let's just make one adjustment on
that Matrix thing....as they call it at this one interesting sight.....and
then......." Fred gasps as he feels her entire being tingle....as if something was altered deep inside. Dark hair turns a lustrous green and her dark skin turns a bit darker, something akin to what one might see on a tree. Still smooth skin, mind you, just a tone not normall found on a human being. Pretty stock standard skin and hair coloration for what the dancer had become, a nymph! Her hair would change with each season. Green for Spring and Summer. Brown, Yellow, or Red (depending on luck) for Fall. White for Winter. All the man (who was NOT a man) had to do now was Join this nymph (who was still dancing) to a special Tree. But which one? He thinks back to that one Incident for mankind....and smiles. He smiles, transporting the nymph next to that Tree (that had somehow gotten OUT of Eden....somehow). The Nymph, still dancing, feels herself grow misty as she gets sucked inside, Joining with the Tree....and something....happens. Hm, well won't tell you exactly what happened with the nymph, but a hint you'll get. It is the same thing that had happened with another nymph (who'd been a truck driver in another world, don't ask) in some reality which mimicked a series by Jack L. Chalker: The Dancing Gods. Recharged, the nymph is forced back out of the Tree and continues dancing when Flagg causes her to appear elsewhere, a gift to an old friend of that old Stephen King rascal! Unbeknownst to the nymph and the other dancers, Flagg has fed them portions of the fruit from that Tree, which carried the same results for them as the Nymph. That and some kind of Key component within their makeup/Matrix thing... Nevermind, that'll be covered later here! Meanwhile, the nymphly knight who had been called Fred (she must think of some new name....if only she could stop this blasted DANCING)!....
