"You do nothing but complain," said Fred. "Perhaps you would be happier
back in the dungeons." Astra shook her head vehemently, "No, not that! Anything but.." and she was gone. "Belboz, get down to the dungeons and keep an eye on her. Wendel, go down there and keep an eye on Belboz. If she continues to make a racket down there, at least I will be unable to hear her in the castle." Fred still looked quite angry as he vanished once again. "You move the cots," said Belboz. "I have to take a leak before I head down there." There ensued some various and sundry arguments about who would be moving the cots and why, but let's catch up on other events instead...
Meanwhile, Lord Edward Heimar had reached the border of Aqualaria.. [93784] Edward found the border guarded, and could hardly travel off-road to try to bypass it, as he had been spotted by a guard. "Ho there," said the guard. "what is yer business in Aqualaria." "Right," said a second guard, who was smoking some rather strong pipe weed. "Border's closed, 'less you got special permissions." "Ah," said Edward, thinking on his feet. He had heard some talk of something before he left Caemlyn, so he decided to go for broke. "I am a good-will ambassador to Aqualaria. Going to tell them how awesome Fred is and how they should come visit." "Hmmm," said the first guard, who appeared to be in charge. Edward noticed they were both armed with halberds close at hand, swords, and crossbows. By the markings on his armor, the second one was a crossbow expert. Damnation. "That sounds plausible, we received information about that, but we haven't received a list of names yet." "You can't be on the list, if there isn't a list yet, you got me?" said the second guard, taking another huge hit on his pipe. "Well," said Edward, pushing his luck. "If you turn me back, I shall have to report to Fred that you denied me in my task. " "Now, now," said the second guard, "no one is denying anything. We are having, whatsit? A conversation." "Where's your cart?" said the first guard. "If you are going to be there for a while, shouldn't you have brought some supplies?" Edward had thought of that. "I was robbed on the road, and will have to acquire more things once I am in Aqualaria." The guards looked at each other, and Edward began calculating an exit strategy, but then the first guard shrugged. "Meh, go on through. Let me get your name though, so we can make a record of it." "Lord Edward Heimar," said Edward, and moved on past. His heart rate did not slow down until he was fully across the border, but then he had Aqualarian guards to deal with...
Meanwhile, in the dungeon, Astra is naked and chained up (again)... "This is complete bullshit!" she yelled. There was no response.
