As Darkness Falls

"Getting horses will likely be easy," said Fred, "but food will be less so. We have nothing to barter, so we either have to go beg at the door, or break in and terrorize the good folk living here. I do not like either option."

"Neither do I," said Astra, and she gave Fred a sad smile. "This is not who we are, it is what we are forced to do. Let's check out the barn first. It's a long shot, but maybe there are dry foods there that we could make do with. If not, we will get food and supplies from the house in as kind a way as we can."

Fred and Astra made their way to the barn, and opened it to discover...

2. some hay, and various supplies, but nothing useful. "Dammit!" said Astra. "I guess we have to go to the house after all."
3. a party. People were dancing, there was food, and everyone turned to face Fred and Astra. "Greetings..." said Fred.
