The Never Ending Quest - Episode 94070

Reaibn left the room, called his guards, told them to let nobody leave the castle and to mount a search for the crown and whoever had stolen it. He would certainly have noticed its presence in the room and discovered Astra/Exotica, but he had drunk enough before the Dark Ones sent him on his errand that his senses (magical and otherwise) were quite muddled.

When Reaibn left the room, Astra panicked. What could she do? She needed to get out of the room, with the crown! It was then that she thought of the bag that Belboz had given her. [93714] She pulled it out of her pocket and placed the crown in it and closed the bag.

Astra crept as slowly as she could out from under the bed, and grabbed some spare linens from a cabinet and placed them on top of the crown, within her bag. Swallowing her fear, she drew upon her training and upbringing, willing Exotica's untrained body to fall in line. Once she got her breathing under control, she opened the door to the hallway.

  1. "Exotica? Is that you?" Fred had awoken, and was half sitting up in his bed.
  2. The hallway was empty, although Astra could hear guards coming closer. The time to make a dash was now.
  3. There were guards turning the corner into the hallway. She had to choose quickly, in or out!
  4. Reaibn himself was yelling at some guards in the hallway, and turned to face her as she exited the room. "You!" he exclaimed. "What were you doing in there?!"
  5. Meanwhile, in the dungeons...
  6. The hallway was empty, and Astra could hear what was probably guards in the distance. The way was clear... for now.
