"Because, as Reaibn found, you wouldn't be able to hang on to it if it still wanted to belong to Fred," said Belboz. "In addition, you would most likely become as mad as a hatter as soon as you possessed it, even if you were able to take it."

"But.." said Astra, but Belboz interrupted.

"Now see here," he continued, "do you actually think I would be helping plan a wedding if there was a chance that magical artifact could be safely in my possession?"

"Ah, point taken," said Astra, frustrated. "So, I guess we plan the wedding..."

"Quite," agreed Belboz, who then grumbled under his breath. "Ok, so, Secular wedding. So anyone besides immediate family that you want teleported here?"
