"Wait, don't get too close!" said the man. "You might fall over!"

But it was too late. Fred, dazzled by the sight, tripped over the ledge and fell, screaming, into the Void.

"Darn," said the man. "They never listen." And he went back to the work of pulling other Freds out of Degeneration Zones.

Meanwhile, Fred was falling through the void. The strange streams of light were rushing past him. He screamed, over and over, until he hit a stream.

Disoriented for a moment, Fred hit the ground. He looked around, and saw that he was in the Dragon's caves. All that nonsense about going insane, and Heisenberg Degeneration Zones, and alternate realities, seemed like some sort of dream.

Then, Fred looked up and saw--himself!

What was his counterpart doing?

1. Fighting a strange creature.
2. Reading a scroll.
3. Kissing a beautiful red-haired woman.
4. Killing innocent people.
