Astra explains her situation, in detail, to her friend Lord Edward Heimar.
She later thinks maybe she should have left out several details, but it was
so good just to be able to talk to someone. At each new terrible thing,
Edward's face fell a little more. At the end, he embraced her warmly. "Princess," he said, with a serious look on his face, "I am going to Aqualaria and I am going to tell your mother of your situation. We will get you rescued. I promise it, on the honor of my family, such as it is." "Thank you!" said Astra, gratefully. "Now, go, please, before Fred subverts you as well." Edward looked regretful, but nodded and headed on down the road. Astra resumed walking towards Caemlyn. She had hope again! It was a small hope, but it was hope nonetheless. She just needed to keep Fred distracted so that he didn't pick up on Edward's plan. "Lord Fred," she said out loud, "can you hear me? I am so eager to get back to Caemlyn to be your queen. Maybe you could speed things along?"
