"Not necessarily," mused Belboz, scratching his beard. "Of course, if I was
to help you I'd require something from you in return. After all, I'd be
taking a big risk." he then looked at Astra quizzically.
Astra sighed, but she had known that there would be strings attached. When
dealing with wizards, there always are. "Go ahead," she said, "what is the
deal?"
"Ah, right to it then. Exotica, leave us." Astra nodded at Exotica, who
left their presence immediately. "Ok, well, here is the deal. I will set
you free, and make it look like you are still chained."
"You can fool Reaibn?" Astra asked, doubtful. "We just discussed how
powerful he is!"
"Yes, Princess," said Belboz, dripping with sarcasm, "but he is so
confident in his power that he won't be paying attention. If he were to
focus his gaze of course he would see the truth, but he won't be focusing
his gaze. The Dark Ones are greatly amused by Fred being King, and that
will be occupying Reaibn for a while."
"So, what is the plan?"
"If you will be silent, I will continue!" snapped Belboz, who then coughed.
"I will set you free, and in return you will infiltrate the castle and get
something for me. Once you have returned with it, I will give you three
days notice before I inform Reaibn with great alarm that a powerful
Aqualarian mage has set you free. He will scour the realm for you, but
hopefully you will be able to evade him. It is the best deal I can offer
you. What say you?"
Astra thought for a few moments, but she really had no other options. She
did, however, have a question. "I will not accept this deal without first
learning what you want me to get for you. You could be sending me into a
death trap."
Belboz chuckled to himself. "Good, good," he said, nodding. "You are a
bright one. Ok, yes, it will be dangerous."

"The item I want you to retrieve is the Eye of Hayzus." Astra was shocked, how could she possibly get it from Reaibn?
