The Spirit of Astra

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 88586

Fred unsheathed his sword and held it before him. "Now what?" he asked, still skeptical.

Astra began walking forward. As she expected, the sword went right through her, without causing her any damage or pain. Soon she was right in front of Fred; she would only have gone closer if he wanted to kiss him, which she, of course, did not want to do.

Fred was paralyzed! He dropped the sword which clanged loudly on the ground.

"Do you beleive me now, Fred?" Retorted Astra.

Fred turned around and ran! He stopped when he noticed he was running towards the 20-foot drop, and turned back around, only to face Astra.

Fred fell on his knees and implored, "Forgive me, oh forgive me, great spirit of Astra! For I have wronged thee in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do..."

"Fred," interrupted Astra, "this is pathetic. Get up."

"But, great spirit, I fear..."

"And stop the 'great spirit' nonsense, all right? I'm Astra, the same Astra I was before I descended down the rope... except for the robe. You don't need to fear me."

"Yes, oh great spi..."

"Fred?"

"Yes, Astra." Fred paused, and got up. "Wow, that feels so much better! I can even insult you again!"

"Don't push your luck. I may be dead, but I can still find a way to hurt you."

"That's it?"

"That's what?"

"That's how you ghosts take your deaths? That casually?"

Astra glared at him.

"I mean, don't you want to find out how you died or what killed you or something?"

"I know what killed me, it was a skeleton down by the pool!"

"Oh, come on. Why would a skeleton want to kill you?"

Astra didn't have a reason ready, but before she could even formulate a guess...

  1. ...the ghost of the woman rose again
  2. ...the skeleton appeared over the edge of the ledge
