Belboz, proud of the simplicity of his plan, turned to the now Princess
Frederica, and said to her "As noone in the castle remembers you, I
think there is noone to stop me selling you to a prince from a land far to
the east who is looking for a lovely young bride."
The magician continued "He has asked for a beautiful woman of noble birth, and until I recalled what had befallen you, I could think of no maiden who met that requirement. It is a shame that you have noone to attend your wedding, but I assure you that you will enjoy your wedding and in the years to come give the prince many heirs" Frederica was both confused and angry at this turn of events. Confused that she had now discovered her true identity, and anger that she was not to be allowed to regain what was rightfully hers.
