A little bit o' History

"That's the truth of it, your Highness," said Belboz. You were changed on his twenty-second birthday, of course you were only sixteen. The whole land went into mourning at the disappearance of King Emry's daughter. Then, almost as a diversion, the King sent out a call throughout the land for a dragon hunter to stand up. It is said that Queen Sovay had it in her head that the dragon that burned the lands of the southern duchies had taken her daughter. Well, lo and behold, you -er, Lord Fred - jumped at the chance. You went to Caemlyn to study and train and now you are here... full circle so to speak."

"But what of my father Dredrik D'Honaire and my sister Rowena... are they fabrications as well?"

"Oh no," said Belboz. "They were bewitched like you and the whole land. You see, Crucius was able to come up with a doozy of an incantation. He was able to transform you and create within the minds of all the people memories of this Lord Fred. No one knew that 'Fred' never existed... not even your beloved Gunther."

"How did Crucius do all this?"

"I don't rightly know, I heard rumors that he had a magical egg from the east, or some kind of arcane golf ball. I'm just dandy glad that my memories weren't fiddled with... I was within my vacation villa in North Umbria. I've got High Spells up all the time in that place. You never can be too careful when you're in my line of business. You know?"

"No, I don't know... and I don't care! When was I changed?"

"Five years ago. For a year Gunther searched for you... then, one day some four years ago, he plain ole disappeared. They say he dwindled away into nothing searching for his true love."

"Well, that can't be true!" cried Frederica. "I'm going home, right now, and I'm going to find gunther... if its the last thing I do!"

"Uh, what about the dragon?"

"To hell with it!"

1. Frederica leaves the necromancer and the caves and rushes back to Caemlyn.
2. Frederica leaves the caverns with the necromancer and rushes back to Caemlyn.
3. Frederica leaves the caves wondering how she was going to explain the last five years to her parents, the D'Honaire's and to the nobles.
