Belboz spoke a few mumbled words. He touched his nose twice, then stuck out his tongue. A ray of pink light leapt from it and washed over the sword.

  1. Fred left and ventured deeper into the caves.
  2. The sword disintegrated. "Fool!" cried Belboz. "That is what you deserve for welshing on our agreement!" With a flash, he vanished.
  3. Belboz fell over, dead.
