Rifts Timeline (Part 3)

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 7838

26 P.A. (2312 A.D.)

Glitter Boy Mark IV introduced into mass production, the first which is designed with space in mind.

30 P.A. (2316 A.D.)

Tritonia opens its doors to trade with other nations after reaching self-sufficiency in 15 P.A. They have better cybernetic facilities than the New Navy, and thus they have a friendly relationship going in large part due to this.

35 P.A. (2321 A.D.)

Due to a new treaty with the Coalition, Quebec is pressured to remove their Juicer elements from their army. They slowly comply over the next five years. Make that, they appear to comply!

39 P.A. (2325 A.D.)

Erin Tarn, one of Earth's greatest scholars, is born.

40 P.A. (2326 A.D.)

After years of pressure, Quebec no longer has any Juicers on their official army rosters. Secretly, they have been moving them all to a covert base at Old Bones.

46 P.A. (2332 A.D.)

Karl Prosek (or Prosac as we loved to call him around here) is born. He will play on the fears and bigotry of the Coalition States, gaining power and racking up quiet a reputation....as a man you'd just love to hate if you are anything less than a non-magic using human. The Coalition, as you know treats non humans as second class citizens.....at the best for the most part....and as targets at worst. Ditto if you are a magic user. Oh, and better be careful if you have psionics.......people are getting a bit paranoid of your kind down in the Coalition at this date in time.

50 P.A. (2336 A.D.)

The Dakir build a stronghold in the South American mountains, controlling the passes in the area tightly. They relocate their highly successful mercenary force, the Megaversal Legion, to a valley nearby.

52 P.A. (2338 A.D.)

A campaign of genocide is started against True Atlanteans (a race of highly intelligent and magical humans) by the dark Sunaj Assassins. This is ironic, since the Assasins, in the employment of the Splugorth Lords of Atlantis (which has become a place where you can buy anything for the right price...even people) is in reality another clan of Atlantians. Morganna is doing what she can to make sure that the truth is being told...and that no morons out there try to go out and kill ALL true Atlantians by a half true rumor!

"I've had to knock a few heads together, literally, to get the point across sometimes," Morganna sighed.

Tarn looks over at the strange elfin woman. She'd heard thing about that, but Morganna hardly looked anything like the hellion warrior some made her out to be> Then again, appearances mattered little on Rifts Earths.....

53 P.A. (2339 A.D.)

In England, the alien intelligence, Zazshan, through Mrrlyn, elevated the general education and quality of life of two large towns and several neighboring villages. The Code of Chivalry and the Knights were eventually created and the unified kingdom named New Camelot.

Basicially, this Alien Intelligence is going to go out and try to rule an empire through a dupe who's going to be some type of King Arthur type. More on that later.

The goals of the Coalition government and the Coalition Military become inseparable. This is a key turning point in the evolution of the Coalition.

59 P.A. (2345 A.D.)

Erin Tarn witnesses a presentation in the Chi-Town Library about a power armor developed by the US and Japanese military. She later identifies this armor as the SAMAS suit. Yes, the Japanese did develop the SAMAS, and still produce it! That, along with a home produce brand of several different style of Glitter Boy armors (named thus because of its highly reflective laser resistant armor....that shines like mirrors). The firm that developed the SAMAS had been the first foreign contractor to ever be accepted for a job like that by the U.S. military.....

60 P.A. (2346 A.D.)

Rumours of the survival of the Federation of Magic circulate. All to true...alas.

Alistair Dunscon returns to the Federation of Magic, proclaiming himself Lord after dispatching of all the current pretenders and warning them that he is the only true Lord of Magic.

62 P.A. (2348 A.D.)

The Coalition implements the infamous "Death's Head" motif. This motif is to strike fear into the enemies of the Coalition, and after all the things these turkeys do in the name of self defense and protecting humanity.....they do a damn fine job at making others fear that motif!

63 P.A. (2349 A.D.)

Triax launches a battery of satellites, missiles, bots, and probes into space. They are all destroyed and Triax writes space off as a loss for the moment. And we already know why it doesn't work!

Erin Tarn's book "Humankind's Rise From Chaos" released.

65 P.A. (2351 A.D.)

Acts of terrorism start against the Coalition, responsibility claimed by the so-called Federation of Magic.

68 P.A. (2354 A.D.)

Humans and Ohajee Megaversal Troops lead a rebellion against the Dakir after disabling their safeguards against such an act. They successfully retake the stronghold, renaming it Fort Desperado, and decide to remain a mercenary unit.

The Lone Star Complex is discovered while doing routine exploration for geological and resource mapping. Three months later, Lone Star was declared to be a state of the Coalition.

72 P.A. (2358 A.D.)

"Chairman" Karl Prosek rises to power in the Coalition.

73 P.A. (2359 A.D.)

First reports of Knights in England. Over the next 30 years there is a proliferation of the Knights.

First Cyber-Horsemen were reportedly seen. These technology minded centaurs will prove to be Morganna's groups most valued allies, and vice versa.

74 P.A. (2360 A.D.)

The Arkhona return, folding into space above Earth intent on destroying the Nazcans. Instead they get shot down by Earth space defenses and lose a third of their fleet to dimensional anomalies and took seclusion on the mountains of Ecuador. In other words, the nature of the warped reality created by Rifts burned out heir little engines that pop them in and out of places....and the Earth forces up in space clobbered the invaders...figuring (correctly) that these guys were out for toruble.

75 P.A. (2361 A.D.)

The Coalition possess the secrets of longevity and cloning, but suppresses the knowledge as "too experimental," keeping it for the inner circle of the Coalition. As much good as it'll do them soon, coming up here.

77 P.A. (2363 A.D.)

The Chi-Town Library is reportedly destroyed in a titanic battle. Erin later discovers that it still exists. All part of a little scheme by Prosac to keep the average citizen more and more in the dark...fat...dumb and....happy....and compliant). See, soon, Prosac would have it illegal for any book to be owned....and those who could read were seen as dangerous. God help you if you knew some real history, instead of the slock they taught you in what they called a school system......

Golden Age Weaponsmiths Incorporated forms. In the next 25 years, they form a solid reputation for retooling scavenged material into useful goods. That, and retrofitting old pre-rifts, relatively delicate "Standard Damage Count" (i.e. regular items like wood, regular metals, regular humans, regular civilian 20th century vehicles) with superstrong Mega Damage Count armor (built like tanks and practically immune to all other non MDC weapons...except for missiles).

Lone Star produces the first batch of Psi-Hounds, nicknamed Dog Boys. Initial unease is displaced with acceptance as they prove their worth.

78 P.A. (2364 A.D.)

Joseph Prosek II is born. Karl proclaims it a national holiday. 80 P.A. (2366 A.D.)

The Xiticix appear out of several Rifts in Sasketchewan, Manitoba, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska and the Dakotas. They are a xenophobic insectile race who refuse all communication and build large hive-like complexes. And they are spreading...and becoming a real worry to all.

Erin Tarn bids farewell to an expedition in her name to learn the truth of the vampires in Mexico. A Cyber-Knight named Tyrone, four other Knights, a Borg, a Psi-Hound, and a Technomage (a magic user who runs technological items off of magic and such) left and have not since been heard from since. And we all know why....now...probably.

179 clears his throat.

"Morganna, could we speak after you see to your guest," 179 asks politely, nodding towards Erin Tarn.

  1. Morganna, seeing that something is up (179 rarely shows up for idle chatter), nods yes.....
