A Knight in Vegas

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 7427

Josh's floppy ears shot straight up. Was that possible? But of course it was, all one needed was an HREF link! But wasn't Game 2 shut down? Hadn't it become a Read Only Archive site? But what if he could get back? Oh what Josh wouldn't do to get out of this boring, simple minded dragon quest game and back to his comfortable, no holds barred, anything goes Casino Bunny plotline!

L.E. reached down and pulled Josh from the tangled red curtain. Holding him in his arms, L.E. led the way down the plain stone corridor, Amanda right behind him. The closer they got to the end of the corridor, the more they could make out of what was on the other side. And when they finally stepped through and into the opulent card room they all knew that, yes indeed, they had finally come home.

"Hey!" Amanda cried out with joy, "this is the Wild Deuce Room!" L.E. looked around and breathed a sigh of relief. This was no cave and there were no dragons or anything else like that. This was Las Vegas. "That's right Amanda, and that means the main lobby is just one floor down, and I'll bet you dinner and a dessert that whoever hopped into Josh's body when he kissed this rabbit is somewhere downstairs." Amanda was sure that L.E. was right. He was after all one of the main authors of the Casino Bunny storyline. "Then let's go get him!" she said with gusto, pounding her fist into her palm. Not wasting a minute, L.E. and Amanda rushed over to the elevators. In less than a heartbeat they reached the lobby below. But when the elevator doors opened they found the place packed, filled with tourists and casino regulars everywhere. How were they going to find the impostor-Josh?

Well, actually, it was incredibly easy to find him. Josh was still wearing his dragon-fighting battle-togs. And a man dressed in knightly armor and carrying a four foot steel sword kinda stands out in a room full of overweight Floridians spending the New Year in Las Vegas. I mean, Hawaiian shirts don't afford much camouflage for steel breastplates. "There he is!" L.E. said and rushed forward through the crowds of tourists. The impostor-Josh stood on the other side of the room, near a wall of slot machines. And oddly enough he was speaking to a man who was dressed almost exactly like he was. Bunny-Josh, still held tightly in L.E.'s arms, thought that the second man looked familiar. Whoever he was, Josh somehow knew that he was definitely another dragon slayer.

  1. But what was he doing in this storyline?
