The Never Ending Quest - Episode 72889

Suddenly, around the corner, come Sara and Jasper. They are eating hot dogs from that really great place on 19th street, and are almost on top of Josh and Scott before they notice them.

"Josh! Scott!" says Sara, "oh my gosh, we haven't seen you guys in forever!" Jasper grins and shakes their hands, and introductions are handed out to Krissy and all around.

"What have you guys been up to?" queries Jasper, taking another bite of his dog. "We have been splitting rents on this sweet flat up on 23rd. 800 square feet, quite a steal. I work at Barnes and Nobles, and Sara is an intern at Morgan & Freeman."

"We work with experimental technologies," says Sara, grinning from ear to ear. "we are going to revolutionize our understanding of the Universe, and hopefully help mankind break the Multiversal barrier. Speaking of breaking it, how did you guys get out of the Tower realities?"

It is at this point that Josh and Scott look at each other with a 'errr' look. It is Scott who speaks first. "Um. Sara, we are still in the Multiverse. In fact, over there is the crossroads where you guys first appeared here." he points, and there is a giant map by the bus stop that clearly shows 'Interdimensional Crossroads' a mile away.

"Well, sh*t." says Sara. Jasper just stares at the map.

"Anyway," says Josh, "Scott here died tw..." but then Sara cuts him off.

"Shut it!" she exclaims. "Jasper! You said we escaped!"

Jasper just sighs and goes and hugs her. "I am sorry. I wanted you to be happy. I just made sure we got away from Josh and Scott, because I knew that the Tower wanted them more. Without their presence, I knew that we could live a mostly normal life. But, don't you think its strange that you haven't aged a day?"

"I just thought I was one of those perfect girls" sighed Sara. "Dammit."

The atmosphere is generally depressing for a moment, but then...

but then... what?

  1. Jasper points out that they can go back to their life, and they say their goodbyes.
  2. Sara laughs. "Oh well, it has been fun. I am ready for another adventure anyway."
  3. Josh and Scott are offended that their friends intentionally abandoned them. They explain why.
