Fred found a sword. It was jammed into the wall and had a human skull
hanging off it. The sword had gone straight through the poor soul's left
eye cavity and had emerged from the lower rear, near the spine
fragments. Fred gently pushed the skull off and set it on the floor. Then he examined the weapon. It was two and a half feet long. Both sides were sharp, ending at a swooped-back tip. The characteristic sign of the Swordsmen Across The Seat (TM). A groove for strength ran down the middle of both flat-sides. The handle was grooved, with a simple brass handgaurd. The end of the pommel had a small red jewel that began to glow softly as Fred held the weapon. Fred knew the jewel had forty nine hours of light. Well, a fresh one. Who knew how many hours another hand had used up? Fred continues on his quest.
