Too late, Fred realises the hissing noise came from a vacuum cleaner hose stuck to the back of the mail box.
WHOOSH!! Fred gets sucked in. Everything spins. The vacuum cleaner is so powerful it can bend the law of physics. It has created one big gravity well where all the atoms are crushed together.
Fred... mail box... Fred... mail box... Frem... aidox... Fmairlbdox !!
Now Fred and the mail box are one and the same, forever joined in happy union, till divorce do they part.

After several years, Fred decides to file for divorce from the mail box.

The mail box dumps Fred for a younger man.

The vacuum cleaner becomes jealous and tries to suck Fred back out.

Fred and the mail box have offspring - a kid called Boxer.

A terrorist drops a bomb in the mailbox. It goes into Fred's mouth.

Along comes the mail man and he delivers a box of chocolates which Fred and the mail box fight over and this causes a massive disruption which sends the Earth spinning into another dimension and the mail man becomes the Supreme Goonzu. Fred still dies.
