Lord Fred gritted his teeth against the waves of pain that started in his
stomach and leapt out to his various body parts. Those goblins were
frightened and obviously running away from something, and Fredrigo
hoped that he would get lucky and discover that the something was
the dragon he sought to slay. Though the magic of the swallowed pendant
was starting to have some strange effects - hair growing where it
shouldn't one minute, only to be replaced by scales a moment later, or
small increases followed by decreases in size - Fred was able to keep more-
or-less his own shape with a bit of concentration.
Fred waited in a pseudo-meditative state, waiting for that something to draw near. After a long few shifty moments (slightly after his left hand tried to turn into a flipper and while his right leg was about half as long as the other) Lord Fred heard shuffling footsteps echoing down the corridor. Fred braces himself to do battle with the dragon, but it is not the dragon that emerges. No! A stooped, cloaked old man comes into view, none other than Belboz the Necromancer himself! Caught completely off guard,
