The Never Ending Quest - Episode 6353

Stacy flipped through the book, her eyes lighting on a phrase here and there: "radio interferometry," "correlator operations," "Fast Fourier Trasform." It all looked terribly dry and technical, but there were some very nice color pictures of galaxies and things. As she flipped through, her gaze fell on a picture of an array of huge radio-telescope dishes on a desert plain.

  1. Stacy gasped. She didn't know where it was, but somehow she recognized this place. And she was overcome with a sudden, intense urge to go there...
  2. She recognized this place: it was the VLA, in New Mexico. In fact, she recognized a lot of stuff in the book. Was she an astronomer?
  3. Stacy snapped the book closed. Nothing about it was ringing any bells.
  4. Stacy suddenly realized that this page was bookmarked with a paper... and the paper had an address on it.
