Waiting for Help in all the Wrong Places

It all began we he met that Necromancer [16]. The aging magician seemed nice enough, and even agreed to guide Fred to the Dragon for free [3696]. Due to what can only be described as a horrific lapse of logic, Fred asked Belboz to take him back out to the Forest…even though he was already in the Dragon’s cave [3697]. Belboz then led Fred to the middle of the Forest and revealed himself to be the Dragon. In another lapse of reason and logic, Fred passively did nothing and allowed the Dragon to abandon him here [3697]. Finally, lost and alone in the forest, Fred contemplated his situation [5171].

Hopefully, help would come soon and Fred would start behaving in character once again. Indeed, Fred didn’t have long to wait before somebody came along…
