The Meaning of (^)

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 50949

"Ho, funny little man," Fred interrupts the conversation, "pray tell me, what is the meaning of the symbol on the front of the book?"

Belboz and the little man stop talking immediately and look at Fred.

And then burst into fits of hysterical laughter. Tears are soon rolling down Belboz's face, while it is all the short guy can do to stay upright. All the while both make sporadic pointing gestures towards Fred, as if about to say something, but both are too overcome by laughter to speak. Fred watches with some distaste as a tell-tale patch of dark spreads slowly from the liitle man's codpiece across his breeches.

"What - is so - FUNNY?!" Fred eventually thunders, unsheathing his sword.

At last Belboz finds a voice, albeit one that cannot say more than a few words without subsiding into another fit of hilarity:

"I'm very - MWAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! - very sorry, b - HAHAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAAAAA! - but, you see, that sign, what it - AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH! - what it means is . . .

  1. 'If you can't understand this, you are a prazzock!'"
  2. 'Buttocks'"
  3. It's the glyph for a contagious laughter spell. But you seem to be immune."
