The Never Ending Quest - Episode 5002

Fred leaves, dismissing the townspeople. Velus, slightly put off, follows Fred.
An hour later, Velus goes as far as he dares to. He scratches out a couple left and right turns for Fred to make and runs off.
Fred comes out on the side of the mountain. It is dark, with a low and full moon. The dragon is half a mile away, downwards. Fred flits from tree to boulder to tree and finally sets up his crossbow. A couple quills in his head, run back through the thicker trees and get under the monster with his axe while the beast was tangled up in the branches.

  1. Fred fires.
  2. Velus betrays Fred's position to the dragon.
  3. Fred falls through a sinkhole and ends up back in the room with the animals.
