"Loneliness can't be all bad,'' Scott told himself for the millionth time.[1] In the past months
he had developed a habit of lecturing himself out loud. "I'm just new to it. I bet this would
be fun if--huh?" Scott realized to his shock that he wasn't in the Staircase Room anymore.
There were no comfortable teal sofas, no boxed food, no strangely inaccessible spiral
staircase. Instead he was standing outside of two yawning caverns in a freezing mountain
range.
"Dude!" said Scott. "This is so awesome! Maybe I can finally score!" Make not judgment against him for being superficial, dear reader, for after five years in his prison of badly writtenness where what interesting plots there were to be had petered out into nothing (with a few bright spots largely due to writers who later moved on to this story, not to put too fine a point upon it) he had learned not to hope against hope for such things as a coherent plot or a relationship with depth. And I wouldn't really expect them from this thread, either. At any rate, dear reader, Scott decided to: [1] Actually it was only the 978,695th time plus however many times some unimaginative loser wrote an episode that was only a backlink to Episode 2. So maybe it was the millionth time. But he wasn't keeping a close count.
