The Thick Plottens

"Welcome to my inner sanctum," said Reaibn, as Lord Fred entered the room cautiously. What met his eyes was extremely odd. The room was huge, way bigger than it should be. There was a giant oversized bed, several cushioned chairs, a steaming buffet cart, a strange cabinet like thing, lit up from the inside containing bottles and other things, and a giant desk upon which was a boxy device attached to several weird windows displaying various areas around Allaria. "This is where I make sure things are ok. And things are ok right now, Sir Fred."

"Lord Fred," muttered Fred absently, "what is all this sorcery?"

"OH! The tech," said Reaibn, chuckling to himself. "It is a special magic, and one that is powered by actual magic. It is crazy, the loop I have created. Me and my marble. Do you know," he said, looking serious for a moment,"I and it are almost one now. Soon, it will truly be a marble, and I believe my power will then grow. Imagine the possibilities!" and then the crazy grin is back.

"What did you want to talk to me about, Reaibn?" asked Lord Fred. "I want to be out of this devil room as soon as possible."
"I wish you wouldn't be like that," Reaibn said, somewhat sadly. "I want you to be a part of this. I want you to know, because you will be King. Together we will make everything good, all the time, for everyone."
"Sorry, Reaibn, go on," said Fred, determined to stay on his good side, at least for now. "You can tell me all about this, uh, exciting magic later."
"Great!" said Reaibn, who then continued, "basically the people of Allaria are all gathered outside. I have made some... temporary adjustments to the area outside the castle. Everyone is in attendance, minus the people in the prison and a few individuals that we will deal with later."

Reaibn waved his hand, and an image appeared in the air, of the various feats of strength and military prowess going on. The crowd is going wild. Various food and beverage vendors are going throughout the crowd, serving food and drink. "See Lord Fred? Everyone is happy. Everyone is having a great time."
"Good," said Lord Fred, "so what did you need to talk to me about?"
"Astra, to put it plainly," stated Reaibn. "She is seeking to escape. She wants to leave Allaria and return to her home. This is... problematic. You must have a queen! I am going to have to show her..."
"Wait!" Lord Fred grabbed Reaibn by the shoulder. "You are not to harm Astra. Your future king orders you to..."
Reaibn shook off Lord Fred's hand. "Don't be ridiculous, sir Fred! I would never hurt her. I am just going to have to convince her that she needs to play along. That is all."

Lord Fred knew this sounded bad, but didn't know how to intervene without angering this obviously powerful but lunatic person. "Ah, well, just be nice," he said, and Reaibn nodded cheerfully.
"Go get dressed, and meet me and Astra just inside the main castle doors in a few minutes." Lord Fred finds himself suddenly standing in the royal bedchambers, his coronation robes laid out on the huge bed.

1. Lord Fred got dressed then went to meet Reaibn and Astra as instructed.
2. Lord Fred decided to go intercept Astra before Reaibn could get to her.
