In Need of a Map

"Then it seems we shall simply have to choose a passage at random and hope we do not become too lost," said Fred. "By the way, what is your quest? Since you fell into these caves, I do not suppose you were sent to kill the Dragon who dwells here."

"Nay. I was sent to rescue the Ring of Palin from the dark mage Eldicire. But now I fear I shall never return to my homeland."

"Do not worry, fair Alma. I shall find some way to return you to--"

"You want some cave maps?" boomed a loud, hucksterish voice. From the shadows came a stout dwarf, clad in a tuxedo. "I've got cave maps! I'm Kipper, mapmaker extraordinaire!"

"We are saved!" shouted Alma joyfully.

"Do not be so certain," said Frederigo. "Dwarves are decietful, greedy creatures. How can we know that the map is accurate?"

"We know that yours is not," pointed out Alma.

"You are right," said Fred reluctantly. He turned to Kipper. "How much do your maps cost?" he asked.

1. "Your soul! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... Just kidding. Five gold."
2. "Fifteen hundred gold."
3. "A favor to be performed at a later date."
4. "One of your eyes. Either one would be fine."
