What Fred did not know when he impulsively flung himself into the pit was that this is where local peasants dump their offal, chamber pots, and other various manure. Fred lands in the stinking muck with a SPLAT and finds himself covered from head to toe in excrement.

The experience quickly restores Fred to his senses, but he is now outraged. Who is responsible for leaving this mess here? yells Fred to no one except himself. Nothing is heard but cricket chirrups in response to Fred's outburst. I said, yells Fred again, who is responsible for leaving all this crap here for me to fall in?

Cricket Chirps .......

Finding no sympathy and no one upon which to take out his anger, Fred meekly decides to extricate himself from the sewage pit. However, just as he lays hands on the rock walls in preparation to pull himself out, he looks up and sees Belboz glaring down at him.

Belboz! blurts Fred. I thought you were dead! I cleaved you in two myself .... errr, by accident, of course ...

Belboz glowers at Fred and says, No mere mortal has the power to slay a mighty Necromancer such as myself.

Fred trys to mumble an apology for cleaving Belboz in two, but Belboz waves his hand and cuts Fred off in mid-sentence. Say nothing, foolish knight, says Belboz. A knight in service to the King must be brave, pure of heart, and, above all else, honest. I was sent to test you, Sir Fred. I have already reported back to the King, and now I am here to tell you that you have failed the test. The King is sorely disappointed in you, Sir Fred.

Fred starts to become genuinely frightened. But, but, but ...stammers Fred, but Belboz again waves his hand and cuts Fred off in mid-sentence.

Say nothing, fool. You'll only make it worse for yourself.,

With that Belboz raises his staff, spins it toward Fred, and casts his spell.

1. The sewage pond freezes solid around Fred
2. Belboz laughs and says, Just kidding! Here let me help you up! Belboz offers to pull Fred out of the pit with his staff
3. Fred suddenly feels an unquenchable thirst and starts drinking uncontrollably from the sewage muck
4. Tentacles snake out of the muck and reach for Fred
