Party at Belboz's!

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 40445

“Fair enough,” Fred concedes. “You can eye the dragon’s balls once the Quest has been fulfilled, and the terrible beast has been slain. Whatever floats your boat, old man. I can use any help I can get, I’m not here to judge anyone.”

Belboz shakes his head vigorously. “You misheard me, lad,” he quickly corrects him. Once all that’s been cleared up...

The necromancer insists on packing up a few of the essentials he’ll need for the journey. Spell reagents, his map, some laxatives, his arthritis cream, a pair of good walking shoes, etc. This takes him a good minute or two and, being the good host that he is, he offers Fred some beer from a beechwood keg he keeps in one corner of the chamber. Says he brews it himself.

By the time Belboz is finished with his preparations, the blue-blooded dragon slayer has drained the entire keg and is, needless to say, plastered. The vicodin he finds after scrounging around in a cabinet next to the keg doesn’t help much either. He gives the old man a warm embrace. “Ya know, yer not half bad,” he flatters his new companion. “Fer a stinkin’ necro” -*hic!*- “mancer, that is. I mean, I love ya, man! I LOVE YOU! Three cheers fer Belbuzzy-bub-bub-buzzy-bub the bestest beer brewerer-erer this side o’ the Shrekken!”

Belboz figures he should have known better. The Great Kingdom’s nobleman are notorious for being insuperable alcoholics, among other things. He recites the words to a spell and mystically waggles his bony fingers at Fred, who...

  1. ...instantly sobers up.
  2. ...dodges away just in time.
  3. ...turns into a frog. Oops. Nothing that can't be fixed, or can it?
  4. ...suddenly finds himself in the middle of an AA session.
  5. ...begins singing something about 'searching for his lost shaker of salt.'
