The Mill

Lord Fred came to a rocky, grass lined ledge overlooking a mill-wheel. In fact, the entire creaking, groaning, workings of a mill had been put into a natural cylindrical cavern. The ledge sloped down to the right, passing the grinding stones.

Fifty feet down the passage opened up into a room well-lit by a magic lantern. Three scaly humanoids sat at a table, hunched over. Sparkling clean pitchers of beer dotted the surface. One man was snoring. They all wore expressions of weariness and sadness.

One of them looked at Fred. "I don't care." he said. "I don't care if the dragon wants more grain ground for his servants. Tell him to stop kidnapping people if he wants more food to go around."

Lord Fred noticed a small passageway behind the speaker.

1. Lord Fred talked to the men further.
2. Lord Fred ignored the men and continued on his way.
3. Lord Fred joined them for some beer.
4. Lord Fred threw the creatures into the grinding millstones then jumped in after them.
